New Way for Personal Training?
For the last few years we can see a new way to train athletes.
Online coaching.
Some benefits of this system can bee seen at first look.
For example: a coach can train much more athletes through Internet
than he could in a traditional way. A number of people that can be trained online by one coach is,
in opposite to traditional coaching, ulimited.
What's more these people can be from all around the world.
And here we're getting to another adventage at online coaching - athletes trained don't have to be at a same place
(actually they can be thouse miles away from coach and each other). That's a big one. Why?
Let me give an example.
In various countries, like Eastern Europe, Asia, or South/Central America, athletes have sometimes dozens of miles
to the closest coach of their discipline. Especially when we're talking about non-popular sports (hockey in Jamaica?).
Next good thing about online coaching - costs.
There are significantly lower. Not many athletes, especially recreational ones, can afford personal coaching,
but almost everyone is able to buy online coaching membership.
Next thing - in modern world people travel a lot. Some more, some less.
But when you're on oline membership you can keep in touch with your coach from anywhere in the world.
Only condition is Internet connecion.

On the other hand online coachinghas also many threats.
Definitevely one of them are unrealiable coaches.
That's very difficult (when possible at all) to check how trustworthy coahc is.
On the websites are usually testimonials, but how can we know if they're real?
One of the most frustrating things inthis subject is to trust some coach, buy his program/membership,
and realize you were wrong. Wasted money.
So how can we know which coaches can be trusted and which not?
There a few ways:
First method, and probably the best one, is to find out that someone you know (and trust) personally
bought this program already. Then you ask him to tell you what this program is really about,
and even show you the program itself.
Not gonna happen? Then try aonther way.
Look for program reviews in the Web.
Personally I'd recommend to read as many reviews as possible, from as many soures as possible.
Search websites, forums. More people's opinions you can find, the better.
Next threat that online coaching brings is unpersonalized program.
Although general kinesiology rules apply to all humans, everyone is different and need different diet, exercise choice, etc.
That is because of muscular imbalances, flexibility, strength level, bodyfat percentage, weight, hormones.
You simply can't recommend same diet and exercises to, for example, 210 lbs guy with 7% bodyfat and 170 lbs guy with a 20% bodyfat.
That won't work.
So what I recommend is to find a program that is ready to be customized for you.
Most of good programs offers at least some level of personalization.
By the way - regulating weights IS NOT personalization.
Remember - the higher personalization level, the better. When something is for everyone, it's for no one.

To sum up: in general online coaching is a good thing. Especially for someone who can't get personal coaching in any other way
(due to lack of money or distances). Although you have to speak English to get coached online, but if you are reading this-
I suppose you do ;)
Keep in mind you have to be careful while choosing your coach or program. Good luck!
